Virginia Tech Wins ACC Coastal Division

Virginia Tech beat the University of Virginia today in Blacksburg, 17 to 14.  Virginia Tech clinches a spot in the ACC Championship next week against either Boston College or Florida State. 

Virginia Tech is 8-4 for the year, and 5-3 in the ACC.  This is the second straight year they will represent the ACC Coastal Division in the championship game.

Tyrod Taylor threw for 137 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 137 yards.  Darren Evans added 72 yards on the ground as the Hokies ran for a total of 216 yards that game.

Jarret Boykin caught his second touchdown pass of the season. Dorian Porch wrapped up the game for the Hokies, intercepting a Marc Verica pass in the endzone with just over two minutes left.

If Boston College beats Maryland there will be a rematch of last year's ACC Championship game.  If not, Florida State will represent the Atlantic Division in the championship game.
