BCS Guys Consider This...

With the BCS all shook up this year, I think it is finally time to bring in some sort of a playoff system. There is too much uncertainty about which teams should go to which bowl, I believe I have come up with a way to solve everything.

The BCS should be on a point ranking system where the teams that beat quality teams should get more credibility than the teams that only play two or three decent teams a year. The system should have a ranking system as followed:

One point for every game won.

Two points if the team beats a team ranked in the top 50.

Three points if the team beats a team in the top 25.

Four points if the team blows out any team by at least 45 points.

Five points if the team beats a team ranked in the top 10.

Six points if the team beats a team ranked No. 1.

By using a type of system like the one above, the BCS could add the points accumulated in the system to rank the teams. This system could be used to have the best teams at the end of the season.

After the regular season is over, the top 10 ranked teams on this system therefore should go into a 10-team playoff. The No. 1 ranked team would play the No. 10 ranked team and so on and so forth.

This way we can have the best teams at the end of the season and have a playoff for the national championship and actually have the best teams playing for the championship.
