Recently, Zab Judah called out Ricky Hatton. Zab is very confident, saying that there is no way Hatton would be able to go the distance with him.
I am not too sure if I want to see this fight, as well as who would win.
First of all, I don’t think that too many people would want to see this fight. Would you guys want to see it happen? With Zab’s track record lately, I don’t really think that he deserves a shot against Hatton.
Hatton has been pretty good, climbing the ladder to the top, while Zab has been sliding down that ladder very rapidly. They are going in very different directions, and that’s why I don’t think that this fight should happen.
This fight, if were to happen, would not sell very well. It would definitely not be a PPV, but maybe an undercard for some other event.
Zab’s hand speed is still there, I give him that. It's not as good as it used to be, but it is still there. Footwork is pretty good as well. Reaction time is great actually; I think he is very talented in that. But the main problem that seems to get him nowadays is lack of stamina. He does great early on, and then starting with round three, he gradually fades away.
He starts to throw fewer punches, and spend more time in a defensive shell. He starts to throw those single punches hoping to hurt the other guy.
Hatton, on the other had, can keep up the work rate. He has decent power and is pretty good at taking shots. I think that Hatton is simply too active and young for Judah at this point in time. This would be a bad fight for Judah, and I would predict a definite loss for Zab, and it would very likely come via middle rounds K.O.
I think that Malignaggi vs. Judah is the best fight for both fighters right now. It would be a little better matched and would bring the crowd to the TV set (not PPV of course). But at least I would call this fight even. I would personally still pick Judah to lose, but it would be more competitive.

I like Judah-Malignaggi as long as Malignaggi continues his career -- his hand problems probably are as responsible as anything for him looking bad against Hatton. And I like Judah at 140 -- he's always had and always will have stamina problems, but I think his power is better at 140 and he can handle the punches from his opponents better at this weight. That said, I would want to see Judah in against another 140-pounder before he shoots for Hatton, which may be a bridge too far unless he (again) proves himself as a commodity at that weight.

Judah in good shape is a bad fight for all, this is the question:THE SHAPE!!!
Judah-Malignaggi would be a very good fight for 12 rounds in favour of Paulie(my opinion),Judah-Hatton if Zab goes to the ring in great shape,i think is possible the miracle, just because Ricky shew vs Paulie that he hasn't a decent defense yet,Paulie hadn't the power to hurt him,but Zab has the power to hurt him.Ricky continues to take punches from left side and Zab like a southpaw can hurt him with a good shot.

You're kidding, right? Zab Judah would have fallen SO far to lose to a fighter of Malignaggi's standard. I like Paulie but he is no way near Zab Judah level. Judah is the most wasted talent of his generation: such a future he once had. He has been the nearly man of the pound for pound stakes. Talent-wise he is far superior to both Hatton and malignaggi: I admit, Hatton is yough and Judah does have questions over stamina but I think he would take Hatton's head off: I really do. Unless he gets real old all of a sudden I think Judah takes him.
As for it not selling: maybe. But I don't think many fights will sell while the world's economy collapses. I will say this: If Floyd comes out of retirement and they give him the Pacquaio fight: Judah is the next biggest name in line for Hatton. The likes of bradley and Holt are way smaller names than Judah and Judah-Hatton sells out MSG and any arena in England (though most Hatton fights would do that). Judah has had to fight at a weight above his natural weight. You see how skinny this guy is out of the ring? He would have beaten Clottey but Clottey's physicality: technically, Judah was way better. Zab's a guy who needs one big win and he knows it. I think he would get up for a hatton fight and I think his ego would ensure he commits himself fully to the cause. Zab gave Floyd as good, if not better test than Hatton did.
