Hardcore, Goldberg and Male Slapfights: Reviewing Episode 6 of Hulk Hogan's CCW

Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling (Saturdays on CMT) is one of those programs that isn't good and isn't bad, but it just kinda...is?

We're more than halfway through the competition and I'm not completely sure how much closer we are to crowning a champion and what the hook is going to be for the rest of the season.

Ringing endorsement, eh? Here are the highlights of the show:

Dennis Rodman hurts people

Early in show, Trishelle (Real World) was complaining about Rodman's working style in the ring. Rodman couldn't care less, even when Butterbean claimed Rodman couldn't hurt him.

In watching "Rodzilla," he does look like he doesn't give a sh*t about whether he injures people and seems pretty disinterested overall.

He survived elimination on this show and the judges seem to like his intensity...otherwise known as "he's the only person of real name value left, so he's on for a while unless he kills someone."

Eliminations don't matter

At the end of last week's show, Danny Bonaduce was cut because he failed to show up due to a back injury. However, he appeared at the beginning of the show, said he was still on and went to go talk to Hogan about it.

Before that conversation got started, Dustin "Screech" Diamond intervened and Hogan decided they should have a falls-count-anywhere match. Huh? Just like that, Bonaduce was back on and there was no explanation as to why.

One of my biggest complaints with the show is that Hogan doesn't explain his reasoning for a lot of things. There are too many of these questions left unanswered, and I don't need to hear Brian Knobs attempt to explain them.

Everyone hates Dustin Diamond

First, Todd Bridges and Diamond start verbally attacking each other over a stiff kick Diamond threw last week. Plenty of swearing and such, but no blows thrown. This came a few minutes before the aforementioned blow-up with Bonaduce.

These people are all either really crazy or Diamond is just that irritating...probably a bit of both. He does talk a lot about respect for the business, but he comes off as a suck-up at times.

While working on his match with Diamond, Bonaduce flipped out and slapped him for seemingly no real reason, being lightly held back by Brutus Beefcake.

He's hardcore...she's not

The show focused around working hardcore-style (if there is such a thing) in which the group went to a junkyard, learning how to hit each other with objects and understanding exactly where to place an ill-timed cookie sheet shot to the head.

Trishelle didn't like getting hit with anything and immediately went to the trainer after taking a chair shot. This would be her downfall, as she later said she wasn't giving 100 percent. Bonaduce, on the other hand, played up his crazy character to a T.
