God Bless the Detroit Lions

Landon GrayContributor INovember 27, 2008

As I napped during the Thanksgiving afternoon, I woke up every five to 10 minutes only to notice the Lions were down by 10, then 17, then 27 points. Yeah, they were playing the second best team in the NFL (behind the NY Giants, of course), but for a franchise who hasn't been "good" for a long time, that must have been the worst showing by an NFL team on Thanksgiving day or Columbus day, or any holiday for that matter.

With all this being said, I think God has punished the 2008 Detroit Lions enough.

Next week brings the Minnesota Vikings to town, and as bad as thanksgiving went for the Lions, mark my words the Lions will win this game. Whether it be an act of God or Daunte Culpepper, the Lions will win next Sunday.

Even God doesnt like to see an NFL team go 0-16 for the year. So, Detroit, congratulations...You didnt go 0-16 and your fans will not have something to remember for the rest of their lives.
