LSU 47, West Virginia 21 (FINAL)

It's been a long day in Morgantown as many from the student body awoke early to partake in ESPN's Gameday live at the Mountainlair, and from there most of them have been "prepping" for tonight's big showdown between No. 3 LSU and No. 16 West Virginia.

The stadium is about half full and kick off is about 45 minutes away.

Needless to say, there's a lot of gold in the crowd and the WVU fans are already getting vocal as special teams come onto the field.

It's been a tough week for the Big East and for the Mountaineers, who were spurned by both the ACC and SEC.

So the crowd and team are hungry to make a statement. However, WVU (3-0) is going up against one of the nation's toughest defenses.

It seems LSU (3-0) never loses non-conference games, and WVU has a history of pulling off big upsets (e.g., 2006 Sugar Bowl, 2008 Fiesta Bowl, etc.).

The tailgating is still going hard, but with the WVU band ready to do its pre-game performance, Mountaineer Field is starting to hop.
