How did they know that? Where do my friends get all this information from before I hear about it on the news?

You can thank Twitter for eliminating the use of a newspaper or magazine. Twitter has completely transformed the way we receive our sports information. It allows us to follow our favorite sports hotties and get up to the minute updates on their life.

Twitter makes us feel a little bit closer to the people we love to watch in sports. If you have not jumped on the Twitter bandwagon yet, here is a list of some of the beautiful sports women you should include on your follow list.

40. Lena and Jules

40whilemenwatch_display_image

What happens when Sex in the City meets ESPN? I believe you get whilemenwatch.com.

Lena and Jules have formed a website that encourages women to share their love for sports in a way that only women can, by being themselves. It is a site that can bring your non sport loving girlfriend finally on board.

Follow them @whilemenwatch

39. Anna Rawson

39theannarawson_display_image

Here is one of those moments when I ask if you remember something from two years ago. Do you remember the godaddy.com commercial featuring Anna Rawson. Her Australian accent is always appealing too.

I had a reminder when I was searching through her Twitter profile and noticed her love for Go Daddy.

Follow her @TheAnnaRawson

38. Danica Patrick

38danicapatrick_display_image

Speaking of Go Daddy girls, in addition to Anna Rawson, Danica Patrick is the sexiest female athlete they have signed. She has done some very sexy and teasing ads for them that left us all on the edge of our seats.

Not because it was scary but rather because we keep hoping they do some of the things they talk about in their commercials. One day they will, we just have to wait.

Follow her @DanicaPatrick

37. Leryn Franco

37lerynfranco_display_image

Before today, I thought I could speak Spanish.

"Viajando a Ciudad del este! Fiesta de la Primavera en Bambuddha! Gracias por la invitación! :)"

In one of Leryn Franco's recent tweets, she reminds me that I have no idea what I am reading and I can't even spell the word Spanish.

Follow her @LerynFranco

36. Kaylyn Kyle

36kaylynkyle_display_image

Kaylyn Kyle is the beautiful blonde soccer star for Team Canada. She played in the USA - Canada women's international friendly the other night in Portland, Oregon. She did not score any goals but she was easy to spot on the green grass with those beautiful eyes and wonderful smile.

If you love soccer, do not be afraid to tweet her about it. She loves it even more than you do and would not mind talking about it all day everyday.

Follow her @KaylynKyle

35. Rachel Nichols

35rachel__nichols_display_image

There are only a handful of hotties on ESPN these days but the number is growing. Rachel Nichols should be considered among these women. She has been apart of the ESPN family for almost eight years now.

Whether she is discussing the games or responding to her 300,000 fans, she stays active on Twitter, making it a good resource for NFL insider information.

Now if only she would do a photo shoot for Maxim or GQ.

Follow her @Rachel__Nichols

Follow her @AmyKNelson

33. Amanda Beard

33amandaraybeard_display_image

Since she has been much of a mystery over the past few years, Amanda Beard still has a way of keeping us up to date with everything about her life via Twitter.

She was once a fan favorite at the summer Olympics and then she became a man favorite following her Playboy photo shoot. But she has quietly faded away from the spotlight. If you are dying to catch up on her 411, just follow her on Twitter.

Follow her @AmandaRayBeard

32. Bia and Branca Feres

32biaebrancaferes_display_image

What happens when two beautiful synchronized twin sister swimmers get noticed online? They become the internet sensation Bia and Branca Feres twins.

Follow them @BiaeBrancaFeres

31. Lizz Robbins

31lizzs_lockeroom_display_image

Lizz Robbins is many things. She is a model, actress, cheerleader, writer, dancer, and stepper. For those of you who have no idea what stepping is, you should buy yourself a computer and look it up.

Her passion for sports is why she gets a mention on my list. She is a huge Washington Redskins and Michigan Wolverine fan, among many others. She loves sports more than this guy and for that, I applaud her sports loyalty.

Follow her @Lizzs_Lockeroom

30. Bonnie Bernstein

30bonniebernstein_display_image

Bonnie Bernstein is the sexy sideline reporter you forgot about. She has not been prancing around the sidelines in quite a few years but she still maintains her sports passion by working for ESPN radio.

She is one of the only ladies I can recall that has become more famous and beautiful since leaving the sidelines. Most of them do it in reverse but she has done a good job of breaking that mold down and doing her own thing.

Follow her @BonnieBernstein

29. Alex Krieger

29alexbkrieger_display_image

Just like most of the Women's National soccer team, Alex Krieger has become one of my favorite people to follow on Twitter. Not only is she one of the most beautiful women in sports today, she is also a very intelligent and funny soccer personality to read about.

She has a passion for soccer and her love for the game can encourage any young person to follow their dreams. Oh, and she speaks fluent German. Amazing.

Follow her @AlexBKrieger

28. Natalie Gulbis

28natalie_gulbis_display_image

Just because she is a San Francisco 49ers fan shouldn't hurt the fact that we still love her. No offense to 49er fans but I have seen more opponents fans at the games in Candlestick park every week since Steve Young retired.

Back to Natalie Gulbis and the beautiful golf player that transformed how we followed women's professional golf. She is a great leader and a wonderful person to follow. Everyone should do so.

25damarislewis_display_image

Have you ever been asked who was the other girl in the Kate Upton video where Kate was teaching us all how to Dougie? It was Damaris Lewis.

At the age of 20, she has had more success before she can legally purchase an alcoholic beverage than most people do in their entire lives. She has twice been in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition and even did a Victoria's Secret gig.

Follow her @DamarisLewis

24. Kim Kardashian

24kimkardashian_display_image

Kim Kardashian is a serial professional athlete dater. I should rephrase that last part, she was a serial dater and is know a loving housewife.

With almost ten million followers on Twitter, Kim Kardashian is easily the most popular of the group. How she has so many followers? Probably because she looks like a slice of heaven mixed in a bag of hottness. It does not have to make sense to work for her.

Follow her @KimKardashian

23victoriabeckham_display_image

Victoria Beckham is a jack of all trades. Ever since becoming Mrs. David Beckham, she has grown even more popular than when she was a member of the Spice Girls. Her secret is Twitter.

Follow her @VictoriaBeckham

22. Brittney Palmer

22brittneypalmer_display_image

Brittney Palmer is now my favorite UFC ring girl. Until recently, her biggest claim to fame was being a model and ring girl for the UFC. But just recently she unveiled her new line of clothing and it is just plain awesome.

It is called Stone Free by Brittney Palmer. The shirts designs are actual paintings created by the beautifully talented Palmer. How is that for awesome?

Follow her @BrittneyPalmer

21. Rebecca Grant

21rebeccagrants_display_image

Can you guess where Rebecca Grant is from just based on the following tweet?

Follow her @MeghanGardler

Marisa Miller is one of the best Super Fans the NFL has ever had since the program began in, uh, last year?

17. Anastasia Ashley

17anastasiaashley_display_image

This was a huge year for Anastasia Ashley. She finally broke through the barrier and made it into the pages of Playboy. That's right folks. She was in Playboy magazine this past summer.

Sorry to disappoint most of you but it was a non nude interview that was conducted but she was still featured in the issue, that in itself is pretty impressive.

Follow her @AnastasiaAshley

16. Hope Solo

16hopesolo_display_image

When did Hope Solo become America's sweetheart? It must have happened over night because she was just another soccer player last year at this time.

In one year's time, she has become our favorite person. She stunned us all on Dancing with the Stars last week, with one of the best performances of the night. She tucked away the cleats for some dancing shoes and looks like she has been doing it for years.

Follow her @hopesolo

15. Jenn Sterger

15jennifersterger_display_image

Jennifer Sterger is a sports fan. She began her career in the world of sports when she was spotted by a television camera during a Florida State game. Her cowgirl attire and rocking body quickly propelled her to internet fame.

Follow her @JenniferSterger

14. Erica Hosseini

14ericahosseini_display_image

It is never too early to begin to follow someone on Twitter. Erica Hosseini is a world famous female surfer that lacks the Twitter support that she deserves. Her fans continue to grow but the majority of us are missing out.

When she is not surfing, she is modeling and she does not miss a chance to update her Twitter account with all the information.

Follow her @EricaHosseini

13. Bella Twins

13thebellatwins_display_image

200,000 people can not be wrong. That is how many fans the Bella Twins have on Twitter and I am one of them.

Being able to follow a couple of the most beautiful women on the planet is always fun to me. It is like watching a movie that gets better as it progresses. The best part is that there are two of them.

Follow them @TheBellaTwins

12. Blair O'Neal

12blaironeal_display_image

Blair O'Neal is to golf what the Sun is to grass.

She is exactly what the world of golf needed at a time where people were losing interest in the sport. It does not hurt that she is beautiful. No way. That only aides the situation.

Follow her @BlairONeal

11. Gemma Atkinson

11gematko_display_image

It is hard to imagine an article about beautiful women in sports and not discuss Gemma Atkinson. She is the beautiful former girlfriend of Cristiano Ronaldo and several other world famous soccer stars.

Follow her @gematko

27erinandrews_display_image

Is there another female in sports that has more haters than Erin Andrews? I do not know where it started or why it happened but loads of people hate on EA every week whether on the internet or on television.

As a fan of sports, in general, those people hate her because they have no one else to hate in 2011. She is a beautiful woman with a wonderful sense of humor. She has a true passion for sports and shares it with us via her Twitter.

Follow her @ErinAndrews

9. Arianny Celeste

8ariannyceleste_display_image

Follow her @AriannyCeleste

8. Brooklyn Decker

9brooklynddecker_display_image

Andy Roddick has no reason to be upset these days, he is married to the lovely Brooklyn Decker.

Follow her @BrooklynDDecker

7. Sophie Horn

7sophiehorn_display_image

Whether she came from another planet or was built from scratch, Sophie Horn came out of nowhere and has become one of the world's most beautiful woman. I am not just talking about in sports, I mean overall.

6kendaperez_display_image

Kenda Perez is more than just Bleacher Reports MMA Hottie of the Week. She is the host of Best of Pride Fighting Championships on Spike TV, was a Maxim Hometown Hottie, and as a day of the week named for her.

Follow her @KendaPerez

5. Kate Upton

5kateupton_display_image

Before Kate Upton was featured in Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit edition, I had no idea how to dougie. She taught me the dance thanks to a well timed Youtube video.

Did I mention that she is a bit of a goofball? She loves to make others laugh, including her fans.

Follow her @KateUpton

4. Stacy Keibler

Wallpaper_1581_display_image

As a former Baltimore Ravens cheerleader, Stacy Keibler has become one of the biggest names in sports history. She has starred on WWE, danced with the stars, and has been featured in Maxim's Hot 100 list for four consecutive years.

She loves life and her fans. That is enough to make me her number one follower among the 152,000 she already has on Twitter.

Follow her @StacyKeibler

3. Jenn Brown

3jennbrownespn_display_image

If you do not follow her already, you are not taking advantage of Twitter and all of its wonder. She has been around sports long enough to speak intelligently about the games she covers and she does so every week.

She even makes mistakes live and on-air:

"Well, had big a first tonight. Slipping up & dropping the "B" word when attempting to say Butch...not ideal.  :)"

It's alright, we still love you.

Follow her @JennBrownESPN

2. Jaime Edmondson

2jaimeedmondson_display_image

Jaime Edmondson loves the NFL. She loves sports, in general, but after posing in ever NFL team's attire in 2010, she has become known has the NFL super fan.

She is the perfect woman. FACT!

Follow her @jaimeedmondson

1. Alex Morgan

1alexmorgan13_display_image

It started with a goal during the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup. I am talking, of course, about the rise of fame for Team USA's lighting fast Alex Morgan.

She made her way around the web but until this summer, no one really followed her story. She now has a quarter million followers and tweets on a regular basis. She is beautiful and funny, a great combination for someone to follow on Twitter.
