The NFL's 2008 regular season has only a few weeks of football left, and I'm sure there are plenty of fans and players thankful for that. It's been a rough few months for teams and their faithful that began the year with high hopes.
Despite their misery and misfortune, it's important to remember the things that do make us happy, such as time with family, our health, being employed with today's economy, and so forth and so on.
But that's all too common; it's a given. It's not that I don't appreciate the great things in life, or the people I share them with. It's that I appreciate all facets of life, and look for happiness everywhere!
As an avid NFL fan, I'm thankful for the game and the endless hours of entertainment and drama it provides week in and week out.
So, without further ado, here are the five things I'm most thankful for, as far as the pigskin is involved:
5. Bleacher Report
Go ahead and call me a suck up, it's okay. I promise I won't get angry.
All of us that read and participate here should be thankful to this site, and the great minds that made it possible. We're all part of something unique and, honestly, ground-breaking on B/R.
I come here for sports news and opinions before I check out some of the big sites. There are no agendas here—just pure passion for sports. And it's run by people that do everything in their power to legitimize the site and the registered writers.
On a selfish note, I was involved in the independent hip-hop scene for a long time. I made music for over seven years and saw limited success. I had a couple of videos done, performed on stages in New York, and had a song on an album that was released nationally and is available on iTunes.
I've received more attention in my four months on this site than I ever did musically.
Maybe I was never as good as I thought I was with my music. Maybe the industry is fickle and saturated. But being published on CBS Sports and Fox Sports, quoted around the web, and actually appreciated by readers is a great feeling.
And I owe that to the team at Bleacher Report.

We're going to send you the most entertaining New Orleans Saints articles, videos, and podcasts from around the web.
