The BCS picture got clearer and not very clearer at the end of last weekend. With just two weeks left until the computer has to decide the fate of several schools, who will survive the tough road ahead and earn the right to fight for the BCS Championship?
Oklahoma vs. Texas Tech
Percy Harvin, Florida
Percy Harvin Does His Part to Get the Gators a Victory vs. South Carolina
Colt McCoy, Texas
The Heisman Hopeful Colt McCoy hopes that he has done enough to get the Longhorns into the BCS Championship.
Governors Cup: Florida vs. Florida State
Florida State has a chance this weekend to end the Gators' chance of clinching a BCS Championship Berth. But if the Gators win, they will only have to win the SEC Championship against Alabama.
Sam Bradford, Oklahoma
Bradford did enough to give the Sooners a huge blowout win over the then-#2 Texas Tech. With a win over Oklahoma State this weekend, the Sooners are headed for a Big XII Championship with Missouri.
Texas, Oklahoma & Texas Tech for the Big XII South
This weekend, the Big XII South Championship should be decided with three games. Texas has Texas A&M on Thursday night, while Oklahoma plays their annual Bedlam Rivalry against Oklahoma State. As for Texas Tech, they got a weak Baylor team, and depending on who the winner is in those games, Oklahoma should do enough to climb to #2 or #3 in the BCS Standings with a victory over the Cowboys.
Iron Bowl: Auburn vs. Alabama
The Crimson Tide have a date with destiny on December 6th when they play the Gators for the SEC Championship. But they have a rivalry game to play this weekend when they lock horns with Auburn in the annual Iron Bowl Game.
USC Trojans and Oregon State Beavers
This weekend, we should find out if we will have the usual Trojans as Pac-10 Champions or if the Rose Bowl committee will be tossing their cookies. If Oregon State beats cross state rival Oregon this weekend, the Beavers will not only win the Pac-10 Championship, but they will also win a trip to Pasadena to play Penn State in the Rose Bowl.
BCS Controversy Should End This Weekend.
No matter the outcomes of the next two weeks, it will all come down to the computer. If the #1-#5 teams win this weekend, then it will be up to the BCS Computer to decide the fate of those teams. But it will also come down to who had it more. Thanks to Ole Miss's win over LSU, Florida's stock went up pretty high. So that one point loss is looking a lot better for the Gators now.
Is this the BCS Championship Game?
When the smoke clears after Championship Week, it looks like this could be the future of the BCS. We've all talked about the two hottest teams in the country.
But if Oklahoma survives the rest of the road, and Florida manages to get past Florida State and defeat Alabama for the SEC Championship, will this be the BCS Championship Game when it's all over? The fans want this game. The experts want this game. Will the computer see things our way or differently?
