Rod Thorn: PAY ATTENTION!

JerseySenior Analyst INovember 25, 2008

The Washington Wizards have fired Eddie Jordan. It makes sense, too. The promising team started the season with an abysmal 1-10 record. Weak.

But the New Jersey Nets should be paying attention. This was guy was supposed to take over for Byron Scott (whom we never should have fired in the first place), but he went to Washington, and we got stuck with Lawrence Frank (who Shaq calls Laura Frank).

The Nets may not be as bad as the Wizards this season (we did beat them opening night), so I don't think Frank is going anywhere soon. But the Nets should keep Jordan in sight. I know the Nets are an entirely different team since he was last here (even Keith Van Horn is gone again), but they still seem to be playing a similar style of basketball.

Maybe Jordan can help energize the young team, and make them ready to accept King James in 2010.

I know Frank hasn't been fired yet, but I can't help but look at potential replacements anyway. When will the axe finally fall?
