NFL Picks Week 3: 5 Underdogs Who Will Win Outright

0 of 5

Week 3 of the NFL season is less than a week away, and there are some huge games. So far this NFL season, underdogs have made their mark on the NFL (i.e. Buffalo Bills) and continue to surprise, well, everyone.

With the many marquee matchups next week, there are plenty of opportunities for underdogs to continue to make noise. Here are five of the most probable upset picks for Week 3.

5. New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills

1 of 5

The Buffalo Bills are 2-0. I repeat, the Buffalo Bills are 2-0.

While I know that the New England Patriots are also 2-0 and are still the same old Patriots, the Bills are putting up some phenomenal statistics on the offensive side of the ball.

I do not expect the Bills to win, but I am saying do not be surprised if Stevie Johnson and the Bills pull the unthinkable upset over the Pats.

The game is in Buffalo as well.

4. New York Jets at Oakland Raiders

2 of 5

The Jets are going to be a clear favorite heading into this game; however, they did not look super impressive in their win over the the Cowboys in week one.

This week was a different story as they thrashed the Jaguars, but the Raiders have a more potent offense than the Jaguars.

An intriguing matchup to watch will be Darren McFadden versus the run defense of the Jets.

The game is in Oakland so look for one of the best fan bases to be a big part of the game, especially if the Raiders want to pull of the upset.

3. Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears

3 of 5

This is the highly anticipated rematch of the NFC Championship Game last season in which the Packers won in a fairly convincing manner.

The Packers are 2-0 and the Bears are 1-1, so this game is a big for the Bears as they do not want to fall too far behind the Packers in the NFC North. The game is in Soldier Field and will be sure to be a good one.

The Packers are the favorite, but Chicago could easily pull off the upset.

2. Houston Texans at New Orleans

4 of 5

This is arguably the most anticipated matchup of Week 3, with two high-powered offenses going at it in the Superdome. What more could an NFL fan want.

New Orleans will be the favorite and Houston will be looking to make a statement that they have finally arrived.

A tip for Vegas, make the over/under around 75-80. A tip for gamblers, choose the over.

1. Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

5 of 5

With Atlanta's big win last night over Philadelphia, I am assuming that they are going to head into this game in Tampa Bay as a slight favorite over the Buccaneers.

Both teams are 1-1, but the Falcons have been outplayed in both of their games. If Michael Vick did not get injured, who knows what the final score of the game last night would have been.

I like Tampa Bay to make their mark on the NFC South by beating up on the Falcons.
