Update: Dez Bryant has been listed as inactive for Sunday's game.
According to NFL Network's Jason La Canfora, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is looking unlikely to play this week as he recovers from a thigh injury sustained during a punt return during last week's game against the New York Jets.
Canfora added that Bryant will be out in pregame warm ups, but will need to show considerable improvement in order to suit up. He noted that that the Cowboys have indicated that "expectations aren't high for him to play."
Sports Illustrated's Peter King also said that that it looked as if Bryant would be inactive for Sunday's game.
Speculation has been swirling all week whether Bryant would play or not, after Cowboys owner Jerry Jones initially expressed confidence in the wide receiver's recovery and then backed off his sentiments.
Bryant missed practice all week and it's looking as he'll have the questionable tag going into the 4:05pm ET kickoff against the San Francisco 49ers.
From a fantasy standpoint he'll be a true game time decision, but it's looking more and more likely that he'll be out this week.
