College Basketball: 3 St. John's Freshman Ruled Ineligible

According to, three incoming St. John's freshmen are ineligible for the fall semester.

The school announced Thursday that 6'6" Amir Garrett, the No. 21-ranked SF overall, 6'10" Norvel Pelle, the No. 15-ranked PF overall and 6'7" JaKarr Sampson, the No. 15-ranked SF overall, did not qualify for the fall semester, but didn't release further details as to why.
