This is Part 14 in a list of players who will play for the Los Angeles Galaxy in the 2011 Major League Soccer season.

Dasan Robinson, turns out you can go home again.

After a brief stint with Toronto FC, Robinson will be reunited with Dave Sarachan, his mentor from his time with the Chicago Fire. Sarachan is now a member of Bruce Arena's Los Angeles Galaxy coaching staff.

With the defense running thin, Robinson has an opportunity to shore up the backline of one of Major League Soccer's best teams this season.

Dasan Alexander Robinson was born in Evanston, Illinois, on June 4, 1984. Robinson grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and was a graduate of Elyria High School. A top defender at the University of Dayton, Robinson played four seasons with the Flyers before joining the Chicago Fire Premier of the USL Premier Development League.

Robinson recorded six goals in 13 assists in 68 matches for the Flyers.

After 29 appearances on defense for the Fire Premier, Robinson was selected as the 22nd overall pick in the second round by the Chicago Fire in the 2006 MLS Supplemental Draft. There, he was tutored by Sarachan, making 85 league appearances for the Fire.

Robinson's high-point came in 2007, when he helped lead the Fire to the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup crown in his rookie season.

Injuries prevented Robinson from making more starts on defense in 2008 and 2009. However, last season he started all 17 games he played for Chicago and took part in friendlies against European powerhouses like Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan.

In addition, Robinson was named "Humanitarian of the Year" by the Fire for his work with Urban Initiatives.

This season, Robinson was traded on July 28 from the Fire to Toronto in exchange for defender Dan Gargan and a second-round draft pick in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft. The only minutes he spent on the pitch were against Tauro FC in CONCACAF Champions League play.

On Thursday, Sept. 15, the Los Angeles Galaxy announced that Robinson was acquired from Toronto in exchange for defender Kyle Davies.

Already a proven winner, it is now up to Dasan Robinson to prove that he can help lead the Los Angeles Galaxy to glory in 2011.
