Terrell Owens got what he wanted, and the Dallas Cowboys hammered the San Fransisco 49ers after a slow start today at Texas Stadium.

Owens had his best game of the year by far, with seven catches for 213 yards and a touchdown. His performance comes on the same day an interview aired with Deion Sanders in which Owens was critical of offensive coordinator Jason Garrett.

It was Owens second-best game in his career.

The 75-yard bomb to Owens was Tony Romo’s longest of his career.

The win was important for a few reasons. The Cowboys won two games in a row for the first time since week three when they started the season 3-0. The defense also played well and limited Frank Gore, making him a non-factor in the game.

The Dallas Cowboys were able to stay tied with the Redskins for the final wildcard playoff spot in the NFC as the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers continue to grind out wins.

Tony Romo was solid, passing for more than 300 yards again with three touchdowns. Rookie tight end Martellus Bennett caught another touchdown, giving him more on the season than Jason Witten, who had a tough time finding his pace.

It was ironic that Owens had his best game today. His interview on the NFL Network was a selfish viewpoint of his struggles this year, and it did nothing to boost morale in the locker room. But, the Cowboys won, and they remain 7-4 with the ‘Skins who squeaked by the Seattle Seahawks this evening.
