Real Madrid have had a good start to their season with most of their players looking in good form and with Jose Mourinho at the helm, they will be expected to produce their best this season. Mourinho has produced better results in his second season in some other clubs like Porto and Inter Milan, where he won the Champions League in his second season in charge. Madrid have an excellent core in their squad and their quality depth could be very important as the season progresses.

Mourinho is a tough manager and will inspire his team to achieve their potential and they will need to be extremely consistent to beat Barcelona to the La Liga, which is one of the most important trophies for Real Madrid. This current Madrid team has a number of young players like Nuri Sahin, Mesut Ozil and Karim Benzema and they could form the core of the team in the future.

This current project of Florentino Perez and Jose Mourinho is to build a team, not only capable of winning trophies this season but also capable of dominating world football in the years to come. The signings of talented youngsters like Raphael Varane and Sahin also indicate that Madrid are interested in exciting young players. Zinedine Zidane has also been brought in at Madrid to help identify the players of the future for Madrid and Madrid are working on a strategy to dominate Spanish football and world football in the years to come.

Real Madrid did make some important signings like Hamit Altintop, Nuri Sahin and Fabio Coentrao this season and did offload some players like Fernando Gago in the summer. However, Jose Mourinho and Real Madrid will also look at players in January and try to add more quality if possible, while also looking to offload players who he considers to be unnecessary at Madrid.
