I don't like to consider myself a front runner, but I was deeply disappointed when Texas Tech got destroyed last night against Oklahoma 65-21. Like many people I am not a fan of the current BCS system. I believe that the current computer voting is too subjective, and does not allow the best teams to reach the national championship game.
Right now, one spot in the championship game will go to the SEC title game winner, between Florida and Alabama, assuming that both teams win the remaining games on their schedule. That leaves one more spot with the final spot in the game most likely will go to the Big 12 champion, but it really is a shame that we won't get to see a Oklahoma vs. Texas rematch since the Longhorns and Sooners are both in the Big 12 north division. Right now USC is sitting waiting for the big powers to knock each other off while they finish the regular season with only one blemish, their 27-21 loss to Oregon State. In any case, we will get to see a great match-up in the championship game, but its not the same as a championship game featuring the undefeated SEC champion Alabama Crimson Tide and the Undefeated Big 12 champion Texas Tech.
