It was a great matchup featuring the 7-3 New York Jets against the 10-0 Tennessee Titans.

Was history going to repeat itself as the Jets have never been able to knock of the league's last unbeaten team?

Enter Brett Favre, who was brilliant on the Jets opening drive, capping it off with a 10-yard TD pass to RB Thomas Jones.

The Jets added a FG in the second quarter as did the Titans, and the Jets went into half with a 10-3 lead and the first possession of the second half.

The third quarter was all Jets who picked up where they left off with another Jay Feely FG and a brilliant 2-yard strike from Favre to WR Laveranues Coles that made it a three possession game.

The Titans narrowed the gap with another FG at the start of the fourth quarter. The Jets were quick to answer, with RB Leon Washington breaking free for a 61-yard TD run that all but ensured a Jets victory.

A late rally from the Titans came by a 6-yard TD pass, but again, Washington responded with his second touchdown of the day, a modest 4-yard run this time around.

The win keeps the Jets a game ahead of AFC East rival New England Patriots.

If both the Jets and the Titans were to keep it up, they would probably meet again in the postseason. Stay tuned!
