According to The Indianapolis Star, starting Colts linebacker Gary Brackett is out for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns due to a left shoulder injury.

The defensive captain injured his shoulder as a result from getting tackled on his interception return against the Texans last Sunday.

Head coach Jim Caldwell also announced fellow linebacker Ernie Sims will not play as well. Sims sprained his knee in Sunday's game against Houston.

Sims was signed as a free agent in the offseason.

The Colts are expected to shift second year linebacker Pat Angerer to middle linebacker and use Kavell Conner in Angerer's spot. Conner was also banged up against Houston with a left foot injury, but will be OK to play, according to The Star.
