The Florida International Golden Panthers did the unthinkable at Louisville by upsetting the Cardinals for their first victory against a BCS team.

This week they will host another Floridian giant killer in Central Florida. This Saturday night showdown between the Panthers and the Knights won't get the same attention as the Louisville game received, but the stakes are higher than before.

Last week, one could make the argument that Louisville may have taken them lightly in the first half. That same argument can not be made for Central Florida, who is in the same shoes as FIU.

Florida International has a very tough defense and one of the most dynamic players in all of college football in T.Y. Hilton. He can line up in both sides in the wideout position as well as the slot. It will be up to senior quarterback Wes Carroll to get the ball to him at all cost.

Central Florida will feature Miami-native quarterback Jeff Godfrey who scored two touchdowns against Boston College and has five total touchdowns. Although he is considered to be a duel threat quarterback, hose five touchdowns were rushing. Godfrey has yet to throw for a touchdown.

Florida International held Louisville's senior running back to just 29 yards, so they'll be ready for whatever Godfrey or senior running back Ronnie Weaver tries to do to them.

This will be the toughest remaining game left on the Panther's schedule. An FIU victory will likely pave the way for the Panthers to reach Boise State status. Their remaining non-conference opponents are Akron of the MAC and Duke of the ACC. FIU could easily go undefeated if they beat Central Florida.
