Gilbert Arenas is one of the best up-and-coming point guards in the NBA today.
Despite losing one of the Washington Wizards' top scorer to injury—Arenas was averaging over 20 points a game—they still manage to stay in the race for the Southeast Division.
But the road to the top spot in their division will be a difficult one as they will have to go through the Orlando Magic.
Presently 24-21, the Wizards could easily find themselves back in the hunt for a three or four seed in the playoffs when Arenas makes his return.
If the Wizards can keep their winning record until Arenas comes back, they have a very strong chance of becoming an Eastern Conference standout.
I predict a spot in the Eastern Conference championship for the Wizards this year facing the tough Boston Celtics. Washington has no chance against the number one team in the NBA, though.
Give the Wizards one more year and their talent will match that of the greatest in the league.

Nick I guess you have not been following the progress of the Magic because if you had you would have noticed that in the last 8 games the Magic are 7-1. Sounds like the Magic are going strong keeping hold of their number status in the Southeast.

Even with Gilbert, these guys aren't good enough to make the Finals. They can't even beat Cleveland in a playoff series, and that's not including the series between the Wizards and Cavs last season.
