Pau Gasol Throws Los Angeles Lakers Into Western Conference Playoff Mix

Pau Gasol is definitely a very good and skilled basketball player.

However, he has not been able to play up to his full potential because of the personnel surrounding him in Memphis. But now that he has been traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, he finally gets the chance to become one of the greatest active PF/C in the league.

When Gasol gets onto the court with Kobe Bryant, they will become one of the dominant tandems in the NBA.

Now I know people are going to say "Oh, but Andrew Bynum is hurt and that will definitely take them out of the race."

Well, for now the Lakers are on a downslide, but once Bynum and Gasol get in their together along with Bryant, Farmar and Ariza, there is no stopping Los Angeles.

The Lakers will be easily Western Conference contenders for the NBA title for years to come.
