Seahawks vs. 49ers Video: Watch Ted Ginn's Amazing Punt Return for TD

Nick YokoyamaSenior Analyst IIISeptember 12, 2011

What a HUGE special teams explosion from the San Francisco 49ers' return man Ted Ginn Jr. Just as the Seattle Seahawks cut the deficit down to two, Ginn decided to put the Niners on his back.

In 59 seconds Ginn ran back two Seattle kicks, a 102-yard kickoff return, followed by this spectacular 55-yard punt return. On the day, Ginn has collected a total of 268 return yards and two TDs.

Ginn provided the Niners with a much-needed boost as San Francisco's play calling down the stretch was far too conservative. Luckily for Jim Harbaugh and the rest of the Niners offense, Ginn stepped up to squash any hope for a Seahawks comeback.

Despite this big win for the Niners, there are still looming questions on offense.

When will Harbaugh open up the playbook for Alex Smith?

To be honest, if not for Ginn's spectacular plays, I'm not sure if San Francisco would be walking away with this big divisional win.

Nonetheless, Ginn's special team performance was nothing short of amazing. Although the offense has gotten out to a slow start, opposing defenses cannot sleep on his explosive capabilities.
