Michigan Steal The Show, Should Be Ranked In Week 3
The Notre Dame and Michigan rivalry has officially been renewed. Notre Dame entered Saturday night's game against Michigan needing a win and needing it desperately. The Irish were coming off a painful loss to South Florida last week and were trying to fix their turnover problems.
Instead, Notre Dame turned the ball over five times and let Michigan steal the show. Denard Robinson played admirably in the second half after his first half proved to be a disappointment. Robinson ended the day with four passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown, but he did throw three interceptions on top of that.
Notre Dame couldn't seem to cover any of the Michigan receivers in the second half and the stage was set for a magical finish. Michigan, with just thirty seconds left on the clock, drove the field and finished with a Roy Roundtree touchdown grab from Robinson.
Notre Dame failed to finish the job and win the game after they were up 24-7. The Irish have some work to do, but Michigan has some good things going for them. Robinson looks to have picked up right where he left off and if he continues at this rate, he could have another huge year.
Notre Dame missed another opportunity to win and Michigan captured the night and should find themselves in the top 25 this week.
