Steven Jackson Injury Update: RB Has Right Quad Injury, Questionable to Return
Steven Jackson right quad and questionable to return, per Rams.
Obviously this is a massive blow to fantasy owners if Jackson misses any serious time. It's a real shame for the Rams as well, as Jackson was off to a blistering start with 56 yards on just 2 carries, including a 47 yard TD run.
Cadillac Williams has stepped in nicely so far for the Rams, with 8 carries for 48 yards. Fantasy owners in smaller leagues can probably still find him as a free agent, which could be a decent pick up if you are hurting for RBs. The Rams will likely try to avoid becoming one-dimensional so as not to put too much pressure on the young arm of Sam Bradford.
However, Cadillac Williams is no Steven Jackson, so the Rams may end up with little choice but to rely on the passing game more, putting a premium on Rams passing targets. Affected fantasy owners should keep a close eye on this injury throughout the day and during the practice week.
