Are the Bobcats ready to reunite Antonio McDyess with his former coach Larry Brown?

The Bobcats are in the market for a quality frontcourt player and McDyess is just that.  The Bobcats cleared roster space by waiving forwards Andre Brown and Linton Johnson III and have two roster spots still open on their team.

Coach Brown has continued his pleas for a big man to help Emeka Okafor and McDyess would be that help.

But McDyess stated after he was released by the Denver Nuggets that he wanted to examine his options and find a role that would fit in to.  He doesn’t want to be in a situation where he has to carry the load for anybody and it is questionable whether or not he would want to play for the struggling Bobcats.

The Bobcats appear to be close to signing 6’11” center Dwayne Jones who has previously played for Cleveland and Boston.
