Week 1 NFL predictions are a tricky thing: there really isn't have a relevant sample size, beyond last season, to base picks on.
Take for instance, the 2010 Cincinnati Bengals. Coming off a playoff season in 2009, albeit a surprising one, the Bengals returned the majority of their key players last season.
In Week 1, they'd get blown out of the water by the New England Patriots before stumbling to a 4-12 season.
But who would've thunk it on September 9th of last year?
A playoff team or two from last season is sure to regress and a 2010 doormat is sure to challenge for a playoff spot. While data and history gives us a sense for who some of these teams will be, until the games are actually played, it's all speculation.
So, with that caveat acknowledged, let's look at some bold, less bold, and downright conservative predictions for the NFL's week 1 action.
