Red Sox fans and drooling male members of the Boston media will continue to have their dirty fix as NESN/Red Sox game-day reporter

Heidi Watney's contract has been extended for a multiple amount of years. Terms haven't been disclosed, nor the number of years. Watney joined the network in May 2008 and will continue her Sox duties, occasional SportsDesk anchoring and a column on the network's website.

This comes off the news earlier this week that in-studio analyst Dennis Eckersley has signed a multi-year extension with NESN. Let that camaro cut flow, my man...you deserve it.

And no, I have no idea whether the Watney news means Jason Varitek will stay.
