Arizona vs. Oklahoma State: Cowboys and Their New Uniforms Wrap Up Win
The new Oklahoma State uniforms apparently are working pretty well for the No. 9 Cowboys.
A week after debuting the fairly ugly gray uniforms, Oklahoma State broke out the black on black uniforms with the white helmets tonight, jumped out to a 21-0 lead against visiting Arizona, and cruised to a 37-14 triumph.
Both quarterbacks were just insane tonight. OSU's Brandon Weeden was 42-for-53 for 397 yards and two touchdowns, both to Justin Blackmon, who caught 12 balls for 128 yards. Arizona's Nick Foles was 36-for-50 for 398 yards and a score.
The difference in the game? OSU jumped out to the big lead and had the Wildcats back on their heels for most of the game, and the Cowboys by far had the better balance. Oklahoma State rushed for 197 yards, including 121 by Joseph Randle. Arizona rushed for just 51 yards on the night.
Both teams have tough games next week, though Arizona's is clearly the more difficult task at hand. While OSU takes on Tulsa on Sept. 17, the Wildcats are hosting seventh-ranked Stanford at Arizona Stadium.
