Arizona vs. Oklahoma State: More Uniform Changes
In what is becoming more than just a trend, we have another team debuting a new uniform. This time, it's Oklahoma State busting out the new Nike Pro Combat football uniforms for the 2011 football season.
According to a release from the school over the summer, the fully integrated uniform system incorporates the latest in performance innovation and design from the world's most renowned athletic outfitter. The redesigned base layer facilitates the uniform's overall innovation, delivering the ultimate in lightweight protection for maximum speed. Strategically placed seams, pads and cooling zones also help minimize distraction and optimize protective coverage.
Whatever that means.
Frankly, I'm old-school.
I like the old orange uniforms. Unfortunately, for tonight's game against Arizona the Cowboys are in the all-black, with the white helmets. In fact, OSU could go about four years without fans ever seeing this look again. According to the release, the Cowboys have 48 different uniform combinations between the pants, jersey and helmet.
Could be worse, I guess.
Could be Maryland's new uniform.
