Tonight is the kickoff of the NFL season, as the New Orleans Saints visit the Green Bay Packers.  The past two Super Bowl winning quarterbacks will be facing off in what promises to be an exciting matchup.  The game will be broadcast on NBC starting at 8:30pm eastern time.

The game features two very potent offenses that will likely put up a ton of points.  Bleacher Report featured columnist Will Osgood wrote a good piece about a potential Saints offensive game plan.  The Packers are very confident and Michael Kimble lays out five reasons Green Bay will pull off the victory.

The weather appears perfect for football, as the sun will be shinning with a high temperature of 75 degrees.  It is great to see that the weather will not impact either offense, and allow us to see each team air it out.

Despite the hype over each team’s offense, both the Packers and Saints have aggressive defenses able to create turnovers.  I fully expect to see a wide array of blitz packages drawn up by defensive coordinators Gregg Williams and Dom Capers.

Current Score: Saints 34- Packers 42 (Final)
