90' + 3' - LA win a few throw-ins. One last chance for Colorado. Cleared. That's it.
FINAL
LOS ANGELES GALAXY 1
Landon Donovan 36'
COLORADO RAPIDS 0
90' + 2' - And now LA is called for offsides. First in a while. This could go down to a one-goal game.
90' + 1' - Three minutes of additional time. Nyassi is offsides again.
90' - What was Beckham thinking? Could have challenge the offside trap there set by the visitors. Mullan now. Larentowicz in a collision with Magee. He's all right, though.
89' - Two minutes is an eternity to equalize. Just ask Sporting Kansas City. LA again. Franklin cannot win a possession out of a wet paper bag.
88' - Donovan from Beckham! Blocked by Pickens! Another great save. Corner for Beckham. Taken short. And that will go for a goal kick.
87' - Gonzalez had to backtrack for that clearance. Throw-in LA. Mike Magee wins a throw. The G's may have to play it back.
86' - The Galaxy are not helping themselves with all the possession Colorado's been getting. This is still anyone's match. Pickens plays it forward. Now it's Wynne.
85' - I have called Keane's name sparingly, and that has to be a drag for the LA supporters in the seats below me as I blog from this press box. Pablo Mastroeni now. And it's Larentowicz again.
84' - Larentowicz, taken quickly. And the Rapids can't get that one to go. This is solid pressure from the visitors. It's clearly a ball possession battle at this point.
83' - Sean Franklin ruins the buildup on that one. Michael Stephens was in a no-win situation there.
82' - Nyassi to take the corner. It is cleared, and Brian Mullan wrecked that to kingdom come. No dice for you, Zakuani-killer. Goal kick, Donovan Ricketts.
81' - The Galaxy are trying to get it to Keane, but it's not going to work. Here come the Rapids. Corner for the visitors.
80' - David Beckham will feel that one in the morning. 20,068 in attendance. Pickens with the collection. Well, Colorado are doing a good job making Robbie Keane a non-factor tonight, so hats off to them.
79' - The Galaxy...need to help themselves. And they aren't helping themselves with all the touches the Rapids are getting. Good offside trap by Colorado. These defending cup champions are holding their own, believe it or not.
78' - Colorado now on the break. Nyassi with a terrible shot. Wide left of the Galapagos. Goal kick, Donovan Ricketts. LA are getting the benefit of the officiating, but they can't live off of it forever.
77' - Goal kick now to Pickens. LA need to apply the pressure because this is not the time to take the foot off the accelerator. Phooey; what was that from Landon Donovan, pray tell?
76' - Dunivant now, and Ricketts plays it forward. Good touch from Beckham. Mike Magee with an ambitious volley.
75' - Goal kick to Matt Pickens. He has been doing a lot of work in keeping Colorado in this game. Keane with the touch. Nice work from Omar Cummings to dispossess. Throw-in, Todd Dunivant.
74' - This is a very tense moment in this match.
Substitution Los Angeles Galaxy
IN 26 Michael Stephens
OUT 19 Juninho
73' - Or maybe it's worse, like a pulled hammy. Yep, it looks like a cramp.
72' - And somebody has cramped for the Galaxy. It's Juninho.
71' - Cleared. Offsides on Omar Cummings. What a complete and utter Horlicks from the Rapids attack.
70' - Here's a free kick for the Rapids, as we enter crunch time.
