As some of us know there was a Big 12 college football game this past weekend that brought about some controversy. The game was being played between the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Colorado Buffaloes. The game was played at CU's Folsom Stadium in Boulder.
The controversy, although it is more of a distraction, occurred during the second quarter when OSU had the ball on a third-and-nine. This distraction was not the usual "black out game" or for exampleTexas A&M's Twelfth Man yelling so loud that the stadium shakes and play has to be stopped. Oh no, the Buffalo fans came up with a new one to distract the OSU offense. One of the fans whipped out a green laser shining it in OSU's Zac Robinson's eyes.
The green annoyance that was shined in native Coloradoan Zac Robinson's face, successful for CU fans, was a negative for the Cowboys. The disrespectful act led to the Cowboys wasting a timeout.

Now you can look at this in two ways. You could say that the fans got the upper hand because the quarterback got distracted and had to burn a timeout, or you could be an optimist and say that this gives OSU a chance to settle down and regroup with their coach and team.
I would say that the Pokes got the advantage this time. The very next play after the timeout OSU responded when Robinson connected to their star receiver Dez Bryant for a 29-yard touchdown. This ironic score put the 'Boys up 13-0 with 7 minutes and 20 seconds remaining until halftime. Eventually the Cowboys pulled away winning the game 30 to 17.
Getting to my last point sometimes I wonder. Where has the class in sports gone? It used to be that both teams, rivals or not, respected each other win or lose. But where has that attitude gone? I am not trying to put down CU fans, but could people grow up? This act was probably one of the dirtiest acts I have seen in sports lately.
All that I'm trying to say is that we all need to respect each others right to play their sports. Whether the act is as harmless as stealing a teams mascot or something as serious as giving the rival team laxitive laced brownies. It is all the same and all of these acts are disrespectful.
So what I am trying to get to you is that the next time you are in or approaching a rival game think about the other teams right to play. I know this is cheesy but would you want these things to happen to you. I believe not.
Well that wraps it up . I am new to this and I would appreciate it if you would comment or give me any type of advice. Dont comment me too harshly haha. Thanks, Enjoy!!!

Curtis, nice angle I think this was pretty much over-looked. It is absolutely out of line for people to pull stunts like this, it only takes one idiot to make everyone else look bad.
