Coming in as the #1 draft pick for the 2008 NBA season draft, Memphis star Derrick Rose was expected to do big things.

The season started less than a month ago, and already predictions for the Rookie of the Year award are circulating around the world.

Rose has established himself as a dominate point-guard in the league. His 18.33 points-per-game shows hes an efficient shooter and his 84.6% FT% proves he's consistent.

Rose has outstanding vision on the court and knows where everyone is at all times, offensively and defensively averaging 5.50 assists and 1.08 steals per game.

He is also fundamentally solid, boxing out and grabbing down 4.42 boards per game.

Rose is the starting point-guard with Hinrich out for the next three months and definitely ranks amongst the elite players in the NBA. Derrick looks like he might have the ROTY award in the bag this season, with O.J Mayo providing the only real competition.

Prediction

Derrick Rose will win Rookie of the Year and become a superstar in his career.
