Team Batista vs. Team Orton

Batista’s Team (Babyface)

Batista
CM Punk
Kofi Kingston
Matt Hardy
R-Truth

Orton’s Team (Heel)

Randy Orton
Shelton Benjamin
William Regal
Cody Rhodes
Mark Henry

The former Evolution teammates Randy Orton and Batista are very similar to one another and have been gaining a more intense rivalry. Both of them want the next World Heavyweight Championship title match against the winner of the John Cena and Chris Jericho title match.

With Orton as a team leader and Cody Rhodes part of his team, there may be a problem that may favour Batista’s team. There will probably a breakdown in communication within the team leading to an elimination (most likely to be Rhodes).

Rhodes will also have issues with CM Punk and Kofi Kingston, as they took his World Tag Team titles away from him and Ted DiBiase, who has since been put out of action as a result of a punt from Orton.

Punk will also be gunning for Orton after he cost him the World Heavyweight title back in the Championship Scramble match at Unforgiven.

Matt Hardy and Mark Henry have been having an ongoing feud for months now, as they have both held the ECW Championship.  Henry still wants a title shot and probably thinks that this is the way to go about it.

R-Truth and Shelton Benjamin have had some highly entertaining matches and with R-Truth searching for his first title in the WWE and Shelton holding the US Title, he may see this as an opportunity to earn a shot at the gold.

William Regal has been added to Orton’s team fresh after recently winning the Intercontinental Title from Santino Marella.

Prediction:

With two of the WWE’s top superstars, this is bound to be an exciting match with some great talent on show, I feel that Team Orton might come out on top leading to Orton wanting and probably gaining a World Title shot.

Even though he may not be liked by everybody in his team, he has the advantage of turning the match into a seven on five handicap match with Manu and Tony Atlas at ringside.

Orton might be up against it, but a RKO out of nowhere will see him win the match and be the sole survivor.

  1. I agree that Orton will probably be the sole survivor. I think he has done so once or twice in the past.

  2. Thanks for the pick of the day vote! :D:D:D
