Watch as Luka Modric Finishes an Elaborate Passing Move with a Stunning Shot

Adrian AgiusAnalyst INovember 23, 2016

With another morning of Euro 2012 qualifiers, comes another morning of goals and Luka Modric's effort to draw Croatia level with Israel seems to be the pick of the bunch. After getting on the end of an elaborate passing move by his team, Modric took a touch and riled the ball into the corner of the net. Despite the best efforts of the Israeli goalkeeper, he could not prevent the world class goal.

As a result, Croatia leap frog Greece into first place on their qualifying table, with just two matches remaining for either side. These fixtures include the much anticipated clash between the two favorites to take out Group F.

Modric's goal will heed as a warning for the Greeks who have once before claimed the title of European Champions. Nothing but a win will suffice for the Greeks, whilst a draw will mean that results will need to go their way if they want to avoid a play-off for a place in the final 16.

Modric's goal comes just after my article titled 10 Ice-cold players who will heat up this September It would seem that Modric must be an avid reader of the Bleacher Report or at least came across the article whilst updating his Twitter. Most likely neither of the previous is true, but Tottenham fans will take heart in knowing that Modric is hitting some good form.

Check out his effort in the video above.
