This week of College Football brings forth even more excitement and urges "style points" even further as teams are jocking for the top spots. Last week, my predictions were for the most part right on the money.
Last Wednesday night, Central Michigan went to Northern Illinois, and though you might have suspected this game to be fairly close, you would have never thought that C. Michigan would be ahead 30-6 with two minutes remaining in the third quarter, to have N. Illinois have a sensational fourth quarter to force the game into overtime, but to come up short 33-30 in favor of Cent. Michigan.
I was a bit surprized that #4 Florida put on a 56-6 over #25 S. Carolina last week, though Florida has put forth an outstanding performance, the way they won that game, just makes the SEC Championship game coming up between #1 Alabama and #4 Florida brings so much enthusiasm that it brings shivers up your spine.
There were only a couple of other games that really got my attention: Troy played in #20 LSU, and what the typical College football fan might have thought was that LSU would win by a few scores. Well.... it didn't turn out that way. Troy stunned the college football world, leading 31-3 half way through the third quarter, destroying anything and everything of LSU. As the game progressed, LSU sure enough put their heads in the game, and shortly answered Troy back with 7.
Okay, so it's 31-10, well LSU didn't stop there, scoring a total of 37 consecutive points to come back and win 40-31 over Troy. Having not watched the game, just noticing the final score, what can you say? That Troy did a good job keeping up? Having looked at the scoring, would you say "gosh LSU is really good", "Troy sure know's how to blow a game" or a little of both? I'm going with the last logic.
The other game that was most astonishing was the way (coming into the game) 5-4 Houston hosting #23 Tulsa. In my own words prior to the game, I figured that Tulsa was going to put on a show, although I thought both teams would score tons of points, there was no reason to believe that Houston's score would pretty much get doubled. The game didn't quite turn out that way...
Houston played Lights-Out, no contest, explosive offense, leaving Tulsa's defense to sulk about, 70-30 Houston destroyed Tulsa. I'm not against Tulsa, it's just that the pointspread of that game was probably a couple of scores, I don't have evidence of it though.
Though my articles can be colloquial, having so called "run-on sentences", I am energetic, somewhat concise, passionate in my analysis and opinions, and use my personal knowledge, " expertise", and my own style of writing input in every article, simply because I have a passion and enjoy doing it.
