Well, the new 2011 college football season is upon us, and boy this season couldn’t have come quicker for this LSU football team. Hopefully, tonight’s LSU versus Oregon game can take some of heat off of the off-the-field problems the LSU program has dealt with.

Most recently are the allegations that some of the LSU players were involved in a late-night bar fight that ended with a United States Marine getting kicked in the face by LSU Quarterback Jordan Jefferson.

Now, Jefferson and a number of other LSU players have been suspended from tonight’s game against Oregon and possibly a number of other games as well, pending on when the University will re-enroll the students. Tonight’s game may start a free-fall that even LSU’s head coach Les Miles can’t save them from.

However, Les has been known for some crazy decisions during games. Who knows what Les can do when put into this corner with a number of his players getting suspended a week before this big game.

If there is a coach out there that can take a crisis and somehow turn it into a good thing for his team, it’s LSU’s Les Miles. He isn’t known as the “Mad Hatter” because of his conservative approach to games.
