Boise State Football: Tonight's Game Will Start Boise's National Championship.
Tonight’s game against the Georgia Bulldogs will determine if the Boise State Broncos will end up playing for this year’s Bowl Championship Series National Championship game. It is early, and there is a lot of football to be played, but, after this game the Broncos schedule doesn’t have them playing another pre-season ranked team until their game against Texas Christian University.
And if you happened to watch last night’s TCU-Baylor game, you would have seen a TCU team that is without a defense that helped them to the Rose Bowl last year.
Tonight’s Boise State game doesn’t just have the “must win” tag next to it. No, the game is bigger than any game that Boise State has ever played before.
True, that is a bit of a reach, but un-like previous year’s this Boise State team doesn’t have a major road block getting in their way of being ranked number one-or-two when the BCS Rankings come out in November.
A win tonight for Boise State should vault the Broncos over teams like Florida State and Stanford. A win tonight will vault Boise State over the loser of LSU and Oregon, both teams play tonight as well.
A win tonight and Boise State is set up for a National Title birth. Tonight, you could be seeing the first ever non-BCS school champion.
Or they lose tonight and the SEC has another reason to thump their chest’s as the best conference in college football.
