Blessed with one of the best footballing feet ever, superb balance, a true footballing brain and a powerfully handy shot, Samir Nasri is a star player and he's only 21-years-old. Not to mention playing over 100 games as a little teenager, Samir Nasri, is already equipped with experience. It's no wonder he has been hailed as the new Zidane.
Arsenal had just lost one of their more consistent senior left-wingers Alexander Hleb and Arsenal needed a player who could step up and do a good if not better job
than Hleb did. Who better than the young Frenchman?
Arsene Wenger was extremely keen to have Nasri on his side, and on July 11th 2008
Nasri signed for Arsenal at a price of £12.7million. He instantly showed his worth by scoring on his Premier League debut, and on his European debut.
His recent performance (plus goals) against Manchester United was stunning and superb, his natural movment on and off the ball was a mass headache for the Red Devils and his skill, pace, and tenacity was too much for Manchester United to handle.
At the tender age of nine Samir was already in the Marseille Academy, and by 14 he was drafted into the French U-15's side and gradually rose through the ranks.
Then on March 27th 2007, he made his French debut at Marseille
while still a teenager. He showed great skill, leadership, and goal scoring ability at Marseille and he has already taken to the Premier League like a duck to water,
being a lethal weapon in Arsenal's...well...arsenal!
I see Samir as the Arsenal captain or vice captain (if Cesc Fabregas doesn't leave by then) in the years to come and I believe that he will make it as one of Arsenal's greatest players.
He makes Arsenal's left hand side so threatening and his speed causes a huge headache for defences. By January he should be one of the top-choice players for the Arsenal midfield with stacks more goals under his belt.
Samir Nasri is a future Arsenal captain who will be a huge part of Arsenal's future as they fight on for the Premier League title.

I don't get the argument for him to be a future captain. The man he replaces, Robert Pires, was exceptional for Arsenal, and I don't recall him ever wearing the armband.

Nasri scores two goals against Manchester United and suddenly he's a world beater and can be considered Arsenal captain? Not in a million years

A bit soon to tag him as Arsenal's future captain. Let's expect he'll continue improving his game skills and unleashing his tremendous abilities. Let's give him confidence and get from him the true dimension of what he is really capable doing. Then we'll speak about captains and legends.
