Here we go!

After a couple of nights of great appetizers to start the college football season, here comes the real meal. Nearly 60 games are scheduled for this afternoon starting at 12 p.m. eastern and running through midnight for the late games. So call it an all-day, all-night buffet.

We'll keep you updated on the Top 25 games, upset alerts, breaking news and more as each contest plays itself out.

There's high profile coaching debuts to look forward to, like Luke Fickell at Ohio State, Brady Hoke at Michigan and Will Muschamp at Florida, just to name a few. There's new quarterbacks in places like Auburn and LSU, where Jordan Jefferson is suspended for tonight's huge season opener against Oregon.

Amazingly talented players like Trent Richardson of Alabama, Andrew Luck of Stanford and Justin Blackmon of Oklahoma State are ready to take the field. Plus, programs like Oklahoma and Alabama and Florida State are loaded this year and have their sights set on the BCS national championship.
