 All-Time Best Orlando Magic Players

During the Orlando Magic's 20th season as an NBA Franchise, I have decided to make a list of the best 15 players to ever play for the Orlando Magic.

The Orlando Magic's franchise first started in the 1989-1990 NBA Season.  That season was when the Orlando Magic selected, Illinois Guard, Nick Anderson.  Nick Anderson played most of his career with the Orlando Magic, A total of 10 seasons with the Magic.

During the 1992-1993 season was when the Orlando Magic started to become the amazing team they were going to become in the mid 1990's.

They drafted one of the best college big men ever, Shaquille O'Neal. A big center out of LSU, at 7'1, and 300 pounds. He may have only been with the Magic for four seasons, but he was probably by far the best player to ever put on a Magic jersey.  He also led the Orlando Magic to a 41-41 season.

Just one season later, the Magic entered the NBA Lottery as the worst possible chances to get the first pick. Well, that didn't stop them from getting the pick. They ended up drafting Forward Chris Webber, and then traded him to get Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway.

Those three Orlando Magic players, led the Orlando Magic past the Michael Jordan-led Chicago Bulls in the 1994-1995 season. Before that season, the Orlando Magic signed former Chicago Bulls Forward, Horace Grant.  I always say that the 1994-1995 Orlando Magic are the only team that made Michael Jordan not look like Michael Jordan.

That was the season the Orlando Magic made the NBA Finals.  They lost to the Houston Rockets in four games.

Unfortunately, the next season the Chicago Bulls got their revenge, and after that it led to a very bad time for the Magic. Shaquille O'Neal decided to leave Orlando and head over to the Los Angeles Lakers.  Shaq leaving Orlando to go to Los Angeles still annoys Magic fans, and when Shaq sometimes says he would like to take over as a General Manager for Orlando, the fans don't want him here.

Near the end of the Penny Hardaway years, the Magic found another fan favorite in Darrell Armstrong.  Darrell Armstrong played nine long season with the Magic. He was there during the great times as a bench player in the 1994-1995 season, and he was there during the bad times.

During the 2000 off-season the Magic picked up great players like Detroit Piston star, Grant Hill, and an amazing player from the Toronto Raptors, named Tracy McGrady. Signing Grant Hill was a huge mistake, as he was never really on the court, and he was always injured.  McGrady, though led the NBA in scoring with the Magic in the 2002-2003 NBA Season.

Tracy McGrady only spent four seasons with the Magic.  His last season was Orlando worst season since the 1991-1992 NBA Season.

During that off-season, the Magic had to rebuild again, and try and become the team they were in the mid 1990's.

They drafted a big center out of Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy, by the name of Dwight Howard.  He actually to this day has never missed a game, a total of 339 straight regular season games.

Just last season, the Orlando Magic got their first 50 win season in 12 years, back when the Magic had Shaq, Penny, and Nick Anderson on the court.
