MWC officials are considering changing the venue for the postseason tournament after the 2010 season.

The finalists are:

City, State Facility
Albuquerque, New Mexico The Pit
Denver, Colorado Pepsi Center
Las Vegas, Nevada Thomas & Mack Center
Salt Lake City, Utah Energy Solutions Arena or E Center
San Diego, California Cox Arena
There have been complaints about playing in a home team's arena because of home court advantage with the crowds and the familiarity of the courts.
Denver was tried, but attendance was very, very weak.
Las Vegas is the best location because of its proximity to the schools. The Thomas & Mack center is on the list as a finalist. Voting will take place in June 2009.
In my opinion, it would be best to host the tournament in Vegas, but to reconfigure the MGM. The MGM would be somewhat of a compromise, as the Rebels don't practice there during the season.

Out of the choices, Denver is the most neutral site. While Air Force, Wyoming, and Colorado State are within two hours, the Pepsi Center's location will prevent the event from being considered as a home game for any one school.
