Merely a diver for some, a hero for others, controversial to an extent but sublime to the fullest; he's often described as the 'best' player in the world - undoubtedly I'm referring to Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo, who played an instrumental role in United's double winning season with a staggering tally of over 40 goals has justified his comparison to the 'best' in the business.

Supporters of rival teams have found common ground in howling at the Red Devils that they would slump if it wasn't for the Portuguese sensation.

Whilst it's perfectly natural to vent your opinion and for rivals to show a heavy 'thumbs down', this particular accusation creates the beat for a well rounded debate.

Personally, I believe football is not a one man sport and of all teams, I strongly disagree that Manchester United is a one man team.

The Red Devils have abundance of quality within their ranks as Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Wayne Rooney, Carlos Tevez, Dimitar Berbatov and Rio Ferdinand amongst others feature prominently.

The comments might be scuffed by amature supporters but I feel it necessary to address the situation with my opinion.

Let alone Manchester United or Ronaldo. I even disagree if you say that Amr Zaki and Wigan are a one man team or that Geovanni and Hull City are a one man team.

There are power houses and heavyweights in every team but it doesn't make them a one-man army.
