‘The Next Solskjaer’ Is Old Trafford Bound
Moroccan-Norwegian striker, Mohammed “Moa” Abdellaoue, has been linked with Manchester United in reports from Norway today.
The 23-year-old has caught the attention of several top clubs, but it is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s agent, Jim Solbakken, has helped put United at the front of the queue. The Norwegian international had previously been linked with a £3 million to Dutch side FC Groningen, although now United seem favourites, with a trial likely to be offered.
Moa scored a couple of goals in his team’s 4-1 win over Norwegian champions, Stabæk, in the Norwegian Cup, where plenty of English scouts were present.
“We can’t comment on anything before we have anything formalised,” Valerenga director Pal Breen told Verdens Gang.
The player’s personal advisor Erik Moe also refused to comment on the United offer. “This is up to Valerenga to comment,” he said. “Moa has only one focus now, and that is the international against Ukraine on Wednesday. It is important.”
