Fantasy Football Rankings 2011: Arizona Cardinals Have a Top 10 Defense
How Good Can the Cardinals Defense Really Be?
In the NFL's weakest division, the Arizona Cardinals defense could very well dominate.
Additionally, they could do some solid damage outside the NFC West, provided they really step it up.
That being said, rookie Patrick Peterson from LSU is the biggest acquisition and will make the Cards' secondary virtually impossible to throw on.
Because safeties Adrian Wilson and Kerry Rhodes, and in the front seven is solid enough to slow running games with DE Darnell Dockett, LB Joey Porter, and LB Clark Haggans.
Also, expect Dockett to have extra time in getting pressure on the QB as their secondary will force a lot of coverage sacks.
Now in terms of special teams, since that counts for defense in fantasy football, Arizona could be very deadly.
Patrick Peterson and WR Andre Roberts are just two of their solid returners, which easily gives the Cards' an edge, so don't overlook that aspect either.
