Every single year it seems as if the EA Sports guys are right on it with their player rankings, including this year.

In Madden 2012 there are a slew of running backs that top the 90 overall ranking. There aren't any that will have you scratching your head, either.

With that said we'll dive right into the top 10 ranked running backs in Madden 2012

No. 10: Frank Gore

Overall: 91

There is no denying the fact that Frank Gore is a very elusive and tough back, and that is reflected in Madden 2012.

Gore's speed is at 92 and his acceleration is at 94. His strength is at 78, with his agility at 92.

The only problem with Frank Gore is that he is somewhat injury prone. His injury is at 84, which may be a bit high considering his injury past.

Without a doubt, Frank Gore is a top 10 Madden running back.

No. 9: Peyton Hillis

Madden Curse anyone? The 2012 Madden cover boy is Peyton Hillis and all fantasy football players have taken notice.

Hillis is a brute in Madden 2012, as his toughness is 99 and his trucking is as well.

With speed at 87 and acceleration at 91, Hillis is an absolute Madden beast.

No. 8: Ray Rice

BALTIMORE, MD - AUGUST 25: Running back Ray Rice #27 of the Baltimore Ravens carries the ball against the Washington Redskins during the second half of a preseason game at M&T Bank Stadium on August 25, 2011 in Baltimore, Maryland. The Ravens defeated the

Overall: 92

Ray Rice has some great speed stats, as his acceleration is at 98 and his agility is at 96. With his speed being at 90, however, one may question that ranking.

Rice is very durable in Madden 2012, as his injury is at 94. Rice's catching ability is at 80, making him an all around threat.

Look out for Ray Rice in Madden 2012, because he can easily be in one place and then end up in the end zone.

No. 7: Arian Foster

Overall: 92

I was personally glad to see that the guys from EA Sports did not over-rank Arian Foster.

Foster's speed is at 91, with his acceleration at 93. His agility is at 91, making Foster one of the most dangerous running backs in Madden 2012

His injury is at 87, although that could go down now that he is dealing with this hamstring injury. Completely kidding, Arian.

No. 6: Michael Turner

PITTSBURGH, PA - AUGUST 27: Troy Polamalu #43 of the Pittsburgh Steelers tackles Michael Turner #33 of the Atlanta Falcons during a pre-season game on August 27, 2011 at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Justin K. Aller/Getty Images)

Overall: 93

Michael Tuner is not the fastest running back with speed at 87 and acceleration at 89, but he is a brute to take down.

His strength is at 85 and his carry is at 98. Turner's trucking ability is at 98, making Turner a tough tackle for any team.

Turner's catch is at 55, which lands him at number six. Tuner "the burner" will burn you in Madden 2012 if you can't take him down.

No. 5: Steven Jackson

KANSAS CITY, MO - AUGUST 26: Steven Jackson #39 of the St. Louis Rams rushes past Andy Studebaker #96 of the Kansas City Chiefs during a pre-season game at Arrowhead Stadium on August 26, 2011 in Kansas City, Missouri. (Photo by Dilip Vishwanat/Getty Im

Overall: 94

Steven Jackson has been known as "Mr. Consistent" in the NFL and that is apparent in Madden 2012

Jackson boasts a 92 in terms of injury and a 98 in terms of stamina.

Steven Jackson is an all around threat, as his speed is at 87 and his acceleration is at 90. His strength is at 86 and his agility is at 87.

Don't let Jackson fool you out of the backfield, as his catching ability is at 81.

No. 4: Maurice Jones-Drew

Overall: 95

MJD is a beast in Madden 2012, with a speed of 94 and an acceleration of 95. His agility is at 96, making MJD one heck of a Madden running back.

His strength is at 78, while his catch is at 79. MJD also boasts an 89 in terms of trucking ability.

A lot has been made of the injury MJD suffered in 2010, but Madden 2012 has MJD's injury at 94, making him very reliable.

No. 3: Jamaal Charles

Overall: 95

Jamaal Charles showed his speed off in 2010 when he averaged 6.4 yards per carry.

His reward? Madden 2012 made him one of the fastest players in the game. His speed, acceleration and agility are at 98.

Charles' catch is at 79, while his injury is at 86. If your not careful when facing Jamaal Charles in Madden 2012, you could be in for a long day of watching him run right by you.

No. 2: Chris Johnson

INDIANAPOLIS - JANUARY 02: Chris Johnson #28 of the Tennessee Titans is tackled by Jacob Lacey #27 of the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium on January 2, 2011 in Indianapolis, Indiana. the Colts won 23-20. (Photo by Andy Lyons/Getty Images)

Overall: 96

Chris Johnson has often been referred to as the human video game. The way Johnson makes cuts and accelerates almost seems unreal.

Johnson has a crazy speed and acceleration of 99, while his agility comes in at 98.

His catch is at 79 and his jump is at 88. Johnson is very durable, with his injury at 92 and his stamina at 93.

Don't get caught watching the human video game in Madden 2012

No. 1: Adrian Peterson

MINNEAPOLIS, MN - AUGUST 27: Donovan McNabb #5 of the Minnesota Vikings hands the ball to Adrian Peterson #28 in the first half on August 27, 2011 at Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota. (Photo by Hannah Foslien/Getty Images)

Overall: 97

Adrian Peterson—"All Day"—gives you an opportunity to run the ball down your opponents throat.

With his speed and acceleration at 97, Peterson is scary in Madden 2012. His strength is at 84, while his agility is at 98.

With a stamina of 96 and an injury of 85, look out for Adrian Peterson in Madden 2012, as he is the number one ranked running back in the game.
