Philadelphia Eagles

All Tied Up in Cincinnati

Martin BentleyCorrespondent INovember 16, 2008

For the first time in six years, there's a tied game in the NFL.

The Philadelphia Eagles and the Cincinnati Bengals played out a 13-13 tie at Paul Brown Stadium, the first tie since the Falcons and the Steelers drew 34-34 in 2002. The Bengals had the chance to win the game with seconds left, but Shayne Graham missed his field goal, and the Eagles escaped with a 5-4-1 record. The Bengals are now 1-8-1.

There have only been 17 tied games in NFL history since 1974, and only two this decade. It is the Eagles' fourth tied game in this time period, having also tied with the Lions in 1984, the Cardinals in 1986 and the Ravens in 1997. It is the Bengals' first tie in this time period.
