It's yet to be announced by Arsenal themselves, but it seems as if Arsenal have stolen Lille's transfer target Park-Chu Young in the middle of his medical with Lille.
I believe it's a good signing and he'll be a much better back up to Robin van Persie than both Chamakh and Bendtner combined. The club he's stolen the transfer from is Lille. The same Lille who we took Gervinho from, the same Lille who we're trying to take Eden Hazard from, the same Lille who's main striker Moussa Sow wants to play for Arsenal.
Right about now, if I were anyone to do with Lille, I would hate anyone to do with Arsenal.
Lille won the double last year, and was largely due to their front three of Hazard, Sow and Gervinho. Gervinho is at Arsenal, Sow wants to play for Arsenal, and Arsenal are apparently about to submit a huge €35 million bid for Hazard.
Lille are adamant they will not sell Hazard and that he will stay at least one more year, but a bid that big (the same size as the Fabregas fee) for a 20 year old is almost too good to turn down, and I personally thought Lille would agree to the bid if reports were true. But now we've stole another player from them in Park-Chu Young, will they actually let Arsenal, the same Arsenal who have ruined their summer, take their best player and talisman?
Hazard would be a huge signing for the Gunners, and one that would bring confidence to everyone involved with the club. Gervinho said on Friday that the signing of Hazard could help make up for the loss of Cesc and Samir.
But we have really ruined Lille's winning team, and they've already had a poor start to the season, so can they really afford to let us take Eden Hazard?
With four days left in the window, we don't know what can happen, but hopefully the bid will be too good for them to turn down and we will get Hazard. It's being reported that we've already agreed personal terms with Hazard, but not Lille.
Will this little Park-Chu Young fiasco ruin our chances of signing Hazard. Let's hope not.
