Coming in to UFC 134, Yushin Okami was being hyped as the strongest fighter that reigning middleweight champion Anderson Silva has ever faced. If that is the case, the UFC may want to find some heavyweights for Silva to fight.

At the HBSC Arena in Rio, Anderson Silva once again proved to the world that he is the best fighter in mixed martial arts today as he disposed of Yushin Okami in less than a round and a half.

In the first round of the fight, Silva looked all business inside the Octagon. He used every inch of the Octagon to move around and size up his opponent.

Okami was content to chase after Silva, stand, and trade with the Muay Thai expert. Okami did land a few shots, but Silva was nowhere to be found whenever he tried to put a combination of strikes together. Silva even seemed content when Okami had him clinched up with his back against the cage.

From that position, Okami was able to get his best work in. Okami used Team Quest's infamous "dirty boxing" to land some good uppercuts to Silva's chin and chopping shots to his body. They also exchanged knees to the body, but when they did, it was clear that Silva's had much more power behind them.

When the second round started, Silva looked like the Silva that we are all use to seeing inside the Octagon. He started with an intensity that we have not seen for a long while. After Silva was able to drop Okami with a jab, Silva went back to his old ways—keeping his hands down around his waist.

But the damage to Okami, both physically and mentally, was done. Even with his opponent's hands down, Okami could not pull the trigger to attack. Silva stood back patiently until Okami finally made his move. That was the beginning of the end for Okami.

When Okami moved in on Silva, the champion dropped Okami once again with a stiff right hand. From there, Silva unleashed with punches and knees until the referee had no choice but to stop the fight.

With this victory, there are not many fights left, if there are any fights left at all, for Silva at middleweight. If there is a match to be made, it would be the winner of Chael Sonnen vs Brian Stann. Dan Henderson has been thrown around as a potential opponent, but who would want to see that after how convincingly Silva defeated him the first time around?

There seem to be two options for Silva now: a move to light heavyweight or a mega-fight against reigning middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre, should he defeat Nick Diaz at UFC 137.

But regardless of what is next for the middleweight kingpin, one thing is clear—Anderson Silva is the greatest mixed martial artist on the planet.
